Come Visit Tree Hill

Tree Hill Nature Center promotes environmental stewardship to the community through hands-on educational programs and low-cost access to natural spaces.

Located in the center of Jacksonville, Florida, Tree Hill is the perfect place to connect with nature for individuals and families, school field trips, home schoolers, scout troops, business groups and so much more. Stop by with your friends and family to explore our 50-acres and three ecosystems. Plan a family reunion or evening reception in the beautiful Joseph A. Strasser Amphitheater. Enjoy fresh air, plentiful trails and an on-site butterfly house.Tree Hill is open to the public Monday - Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 


The 2015 Joseph A. Strasser Butterfly Festival will be held THIS Saturday, April 25th from 10am to 4pm. 

You don't want to miss this fun and educational event for adults and children of all ages. We have many returning vendors as well as new ones joining us this year! A fun day is planned, filled with tours of the Arlington Community Garden, storytelling by local authors, and an Animal Encounter with Senior Naturalist, Jamy Rose. The butterfly release, presented by JaxMetro Credit Union, will happen at 3:30. 

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for senior/military/student, $3 for kids 3-17, children under 3 and Tree Hill members get in for free.

Memberships will be available for purchase on Saturday, and will allow you to get into the Festival for free!
